๐ Retrospective and Resources
The ETSI SNS4SNS 2026 agenda spanned perspectives from industry, open source, academia, and public and private sectors, contributing to an open software ecosystem for future connectivity and service. It was an amazing opportunity where:
- ๐ 35+ live demos and posters were experienced, illustrating collaborative innovation among industry, research, and open source initiatives.
- ๐ง Interactive tutorials were presented and the latest advances were learned in ETSI Software Development Group: OpenOP, OpenSlice, OpenSourceMANO, OpenCAPIF and TeraFlowSDN
๐ All conference presentations and onโstage demos are available through the official ETSI event page: here
Tutorial
Open Source Mano held a very successful and inspiring tutorial on Tuesday, delivered by Francisco Javier Ramรณn Salguero (Telefรณnica, ETSI OSM Chair), on "Open Source MANO", providing an overview of Open Source MANO (OSM) and its role as a generalised cloud-native orchestrator for infrastructure, platforms, and services. The tutorial will showcase OSMโs new declarative approach to infrastructure and application management, including enhanced cluster management and declarative application modelling.

Conference, Hackathon, Demos!
๐ต Francisco Javier Ramรณn Salguero (Telefรณnica, ETSI OSM Chair) delivered an excellent presentation focusing on ETSI OSM: Cloud-native orchestration in multi-cloud environments.
๐ต Francisco Javier Ramรณn Salguero (Telefรณnica, ETSI OSM Chair) represented on stage Open Source MANO on our cross-SDGs efforts with the launch of an open and long term infrastructure/lab for cross-collaboration between SDGs. This Joint Demo Cross-SDGs was delivered by Silvia Almagia, ETSI - Christos Tranoris, University of Patras (SDG OSL) โ Stavros Charismiadis, FOGUS Innovation and Services (SDG OCF) โ Giulio Carota, EURECOM (SDG OOP) โ Kostis Trantzas, University of Patras (SDG OSL) โ Francisco-Javier Ramon, Telefonica (SDG OSM) โ Lluis Gifre, CTTC (SDG TFS) โ Dimitris Gogos, Intracom Telecom (SDG OOP); demo video recording is available here
๐ SNS4SNS 2026 โ Awards and Highlights
๐ Best Demo Award!
The Best Demo Award at SNS4SNS 2026 was presented to DEMO 19, titled โSmart justโinโtime logistics atop an endโtoโend orchestrated compute, network, and data continuum.โ
๐๐ Many congratulations, Nikos Psaromanolakis (UBITECH), Georgios Angelopoulos (iLINK), Panagiotis Zikos (iLINK), Georgios P. Katsikas (UBITECH) and congratulations to all contributors for their hard work and dedication! ๐
๐ Hackathon Award!
The SNS4SNS Hackathon Award was won by the ATNoG โ IT Aveiro team. Their project, โNetwork Testbeds as a Service (NTaaS) for Application Development,โ integrated four ETSI Software Development Groups (SDGs): - TeraFlowSDN - OpenSlice - OpenSourceMANO - OpenOP
๐๐ Congrats to Joรฃo Capucho, Igor Coelho, and Zakhar Kruptsala (IT Aveiro), who demonstrated not only strong technical skills but also the ability to translate ideas into working solutions under time pressure, while aligning with the eventโs focus on standards-based, open-source innovation. ๐
