Description
Currently, the SOL003 VNFM interface in OSM only supports the assignment of static IPv4 addresses to VNFs. However, some operators require the ability to assign static IPv4 and IPv6 addresses to VNFs, enabling connectivity to dual-stack networks.
This feature request aims to add dual-stack IP support to the SOL003 VNFM interface in OSM, to enable operators to assign static IPv4 and IPv6 addresses to VNFs launched through OSM. This would provide greater flexibility and interoperability for the NFV infrastructure and improve the performance, compatibility, and security of network traffic.
Demo or definition of done
A Robot test will be added to test the implemented feature. The test will check the successful instantiation of a dual stack NS, passing the dual-stack IP information to OSM VNFM in SOL003 API interface. The deployed VMs should have the specified dual-stack IP address assigned.
