Gerardo García

SDG Chair // Telefónica

Gerardo is the Manager of Multi-Cloud Tools Department, part of the Data, AI & Cloud Area of Telefónica’s Global CTIO Unit (Telefónica S.A.). As Manager of Multi-Cloud Tools Department, he coordinates the technical work of the team, by elaborating PoC, recommendations and best practices oriented to support a multi-cloud multi-site infrastructure where both infrastructure and applications are managed in a cloud-native and declarative way. He has been working in Telefónica since 2007, first involved in research projects, then moving to areas closer to the Operating Businesses. Areas of expertise include agentic AI for infrastructure management, public and private clouds, multi-cloud tools and technologies, Kubernetes, GitOps, Network Function Virtualization (NFV), orchestration and automation in the telco sector. He has been technically involved in the NFV ecosystem from its birth, contributing to the ETSI NFV ISG, with special dedication to data plane performance of Network Functions. In April 2016, with the founding of OSM, he became a TSC member. As part of the OSM community, he has been actively contributing to the code and has led key technical discussions, including the introduction of the micro-service architecture, support for Kubernetes-based Network Functions, and connectors to public cloud platforms. He is also author of several patents and over 20 research papers related to traffic measurements, routing, network QoS, P2P and content-aware networks.

Bruno Dzogovic

SDG Vice-Chair // Telenor ASA

Bruno Dzogovic Is an employee at Telenor ASA in the Research and Innovation department since 2022. He started as a research scientist before taking on the role of Cloud Innovation Program Director. His work focuses on Telco Clouds, cloud-native principles, automation, and edge/cloud infrastructure. He leads the Cloud Program, enabling agile innovation for 5G/6G, AI/ML, and cybersecurity. He also manages the 5G-COMPAD project, funded by the European Defence Fund (EDF). The project supports the development of secure communications for defense and NATO-related use. He is also a professor at Oslo Metropolitan University in the Computer Science department. His academic interests include cloud, cybersecurity, automation, and mobile communication systems. He runs a cloud lab and supervises students, connecting academic research with industry needs. He has contributed to interdisciplinary projects across sectors like healthcare, transport, and security.

Pedro Escaleira

TSC Member // Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT) - IT Aveiro

Pedro Escaleira is a Ph.D. student at the University of Aveiro and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Informatics Engineering, achieved in 2020, and a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity in 2022 at the same University. He is currently a Researcher at Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT), where he has taken part in several 5G-related projects, such as Route 25, NETEDGE, and AUGMANITY. In 2022, he was awarded the “ETSI OSM Release Twelve Outstanding Technical Contributor” distinction for recognition of his work within ETSI OSM during its release twelve cycle. Also, in 2022, he discovered two critical vulnerabilities related to OSM, which later led to two Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) records. His Master’s thesis was also the subject of multiple awards, all granted during 2023, namely the “APDC Best Thesis Award,” the “IEEE Portugal Outstanding MSc Thesis Award,” and the “AP2SI Merit Award for Master’s in Information Security”. His current research interests include Cloud Computing, Serverless, Cybersecurity, Moving Target Defense (MTD), Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), and Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC).

Lovejeet Singh

TSC Member // Hughes Systique Pvt. Ltd

Lovejeet is a Principal Engineer at Hughes Systique Pvt. Ltd. (HSC), specializing in NFVi within the Networking and Wireless Unit. He is actively engaged in research, development, and project execution focused on cloud infrastructure and networking technologies, including Kubernetes, Ceph, Open-Source MANO (OSM), FRR, and other orchestration frameworks. His key contributions include enhancing the RO (Resource Orchestrator) module in OSM to support Service Function Chaining (SFC) for OpenStack, improving network automation and virtualization capabilities.
