OSM Proofs of Concept

This page provides a list and details of OSM Proofs of Concept developed according to the OSM Proof of Concept Framework.

OSM Proofs of Concept are intended to demonstrate OSM as a viable MANO solution. Results and learnings are fed back to ETSI OSM.

No verification or test has been performed by ETSI on any part of these OSM Proofs of Concept.

Propose a New OSM PoC

Would you like to see your OSM Proof of Concept listed here?

Before proposing a new PoC, please review the OSM PoC Framework for the eligibility criteria and proposal process.

The PoC framework provides a lightweight process for proposing and developing PoCs within the OSM community.

Proposal Process

The OSM PoC Framework defines the following process:

1. Submit the PoC proposal to the `OSM_TECH’ mailing list to inform the OSM community and gather feedback.
2. OSM TSC acknowledgement and approval cknowledges the reception of the proposal and approves it to be listed as an OSM PoC. The OSM community is informed via the OSM_TECH mailing lis.
3. Provide the required publication information to the OSM MARCOM Task Force.
4. Present PoC progress and results in OSM TECH meetings.
5. Declare PoC completion after presenting the final results to the community.

PoC Visibility

OSM PoCs can receive visibility within the OSM community through:

• Listing on the OSM website and Wiki.
• Promotion through OSM social media channels.
• Presentations in public venues and webinars (e.g. ETSI webinar).
• Participation in relevant OSM community activities.
• Eligibility for the Best New Feature Showcase Award of the corresponding OSM Release

Contributing a PoC

If you are an OSM member or participant and have a PoC that uses core OSM components, we encourage you to share it with the OSM community.

Please provide the following information with your PoC Proposal:

• PoC Title
• PoC Team Members (companies and main technical and marketing contacts - name email-)
• Short Abstract
• Key Takeaways
• PoC Technical Overview using the OSM presentation template
• OSM version and Components featured in the PoC
• Demo dates, venues and links/videos if available
