Description

OSM can deploy a NS across several datacenters, requiring the L2 connectivity among them to be pre-created and fed to OSM.

It would be desirable that OSM could perform this task automatically, at least in some cases where some pre-conditions could be met (e.g. ToR switches programmable via SDNC).

In principle, this would involve the creation of overlay networks between datacenters on demand, being OSM responsible of creating a L3-based tunnelling. The only input required would be the network at each site to be used for connecting to the outside (other sites); and what IP address must be used to get this network from outside.
