Description
Basic indicators provide the health status of the following OSM managed entities to the OSM user in a quick and easy way.
- VIM - Is the VIM registered in OSM reachable now?
- K8s cluster - Is the K8s registered in OSM reachable now?
- NS - Are all VNFs of the NS deployed up?
- xNF - Are all xDUs of the NF deployed up?
- VDU - Is VDU up?
- KDU - Is KDU up?
- SDNC - Is SDNC reachable now?
As starting point, the status of the OSM entities that will be indicated by basic indicators could be the following:
- UP – The OSM entity is reachable and working as expected.
- DOWN - The OSM entity is not working as expected.
- BROKEN - The OSM entity is not working as expected, because some part of this entity is deleted/stopped ungracefully (though manual intervention) e.g. few VMs of a VNF are deleted through VIM commands directly and not OSM.
- UNKNOWN - The OSM entity is not reachable (may be due to network configuration failure) and so not able to assertion its status.
Basic indicators should be accesible through OSM NB API calls.
Demo or definition of done
A Robot test will be implemented. The test will check the basic indicator in the different potential states.
