SOL003 STD Support for OSM

Description

The Virtual Network Functions Manager (VNF Manager or VNFM) is responsible for lifecycle management of VNFs. VNFM operations include:

1. Instantiation of VNFs
2. Update of VNFs (Feature proposed)
3. Scaling of VNFs
4. Termination of VNFs

The ETSI NFV-MANO supports the Or-Vnfm interface (SOL003 Std.) to connect to VNFM to perform life cycle operation of VNFs.

This feature is to add the SOL003 (Or-Vnfm interface) Std. support to OSM's NBI. Currently OSM has SOL005 support to perform NS Life cycle management operations; where OSM serves as tightly coupled NFVO and VNFM. With the support of SOL003 API's, OSM enables the ability to serve as independent VNFM that can be integrated with any other Orchestrator and can perform VNF Life cycle management operations.

Demo or definition of done

OSM as VNFM with SOL003 Std. support able to perform lifecycle management operations of VNF (Instantiate, Scale, Update(Feature Proposed), Terminate). ROBOT test suites will be developed in order to verify the implemented SOL003 APIs.
