Description
This feature focuses on the following use case: updating a NS by changing the VNF package on which a VNF instance is based. In this use-case, the current VNF Package on which a VNF instance is based is changed. The existing VNF instance is updated and so, this operation makes necessary changes to the virtualized resources of the VNF including terminating the old resources with the old package and instantiating new virtualized resources based on the new package. It also involves updating the existing policies (scaling, healing etc.) of the VNF instance to the policies in the new package.
Demo or definition of done
If there is a running NS instance with one VNF which consists of a virtual machine instance then, to update the resources of the VNF, perform a VNF package change. Verify in OSM system that the VNF instance is still in running state and that its information and its relevant policies are updated. And also check in VIM that the old virtualized resources have been terminated and new virtualized resources with the specifications of the new package are instantiated.
